Discrepancy by BSNL?

Sheesh, the windows connection window always shows extra stuff.. just leave it idling for 2-3 hours and it'll still have transmitted stuff.. I wouldn't count that as a reliable source of ur usage, and I doubt BSNL does either.. doesn't BSNL have a website that lets you check usage?

On the contrary its the best way to monitor the connection as it shows data to the byte level.

The data thats being transmitted even when nothing seems to be d'loading are some ping packets,DNS quiries and such sort of stuff thats also gets counted by BSNL.

Netmeter allways gives me probs with the data counters.
