Vandal said:HX 620 way overpriced. Selling at the 6K mark now. What's your best price on a HX 1000?

pcgamer said:Its available in Delta, Chennai for 6.1K and maybe even 6K now...
i bought TX650 for 6K net and inquired this above quoted price
Supra said:Prices have been increased by "hyped up" Tirupati recently. So no more 6k HX 620. If $ prices go up, in India even if there is price cut, 1st thing they do is to increase prices rather than trying to stabilize it.I will never belive that they imported HX 620 now with higher $$ price. What they have is old stock and still gouging up. can't u lame retailer/e-tailers bargain and fight with them or u guys r too naive for that I guess
All of the ppl here have supported Tirupati/Corsair so well....now this all the GIFT u ppl get....price gouging on a 2 yr old PSU model by 10-15%..when international pricing on this is almost gng to 100~110$ nw. Way to go Tirupati.net
TheTechShopGuy said:For the last 45 days... there has been almost NO STOCK of 620HX.
What else can I say, at techshop.in, we have always tried to give TE users the best deal... just look at our other past deals. Even if we wanted to price a product higher, would we do it here on TE?
This kind of posting is really disappointing..

What date did you buy your 650TX? Are you aware of the increase in the dollar prices... the Dollar has gone up to Rs. 47/$ now... what was it at when you bought your PSU?
The ONLY WAY someone can give you the 620HX at that price now is if that person has OLD STOCK.... which is highly unlikely considering that there was a shortage of this PSU (620HX) for the last 45 days or so.
Spoke to Delta personally 1 hour back... they have said they will "get back soon" ... no reply as yet...
pcgamer said:rubbish justification to the price increase
Has the processors/rams/mobo prices have increased in this last 1 month
E8400 have come down from 8K to 7.8K (last week i bought)
800Mhz RAM prices down from 1.8K to 1.6K
my Gigabyte mobo went 300rs less than i checked 3 weeks back
Its just that one or two distri''s grow greedy and jack up the prices blaming dollar prices for it
have you thought of counting the number of E8400's which are sold in a month in India and comparing it to the numbers for the HX620? Did you know that processors attract ZERO duty when imported to India? Did you know that processor prices are adjusted almost monthly? Did you know price adjustments made by intel globally reflect in India REALLY REALLY soon?
Processor pricing is a very bad tool for usage in price comparisons. Intel has complete control over processor pricing.. plus its a very high volume market. more like THE primary market for computer stuff. RAM is again a VERY high volume product.
something like a HX620 is a niche product where the prolly manage to sell less than a 100 pieces in a month(i'm guessing htats a huge overestimation). So, any price corrections or dollar pricing corrects are gonna badly affect these products simply because of the quantities involved. and no one can really blame companies for trading with items in Dollars even though they import from SEAsia... coz the Dollar(fortunately or unfortunately) HAS become a pseudo global currency.

High Volume or Low Volume ! PPl had got HX 620 for 6000~6100 from Bangalore/Mumbai/Itwares/Phoenix.
New prices being offered almost anywhere is arnd 6.7~6.8k. Now thats a 10-12% rise directly. I am not putting any blame on dealers but what dealers do generally, call up distri, hw much is 620W saar....answer from other end is 4-5 lelo sir...6500 me deta hun ....are bhai 100 rupaya kam karo. Finally deal settled.Thats hw it works I have seen ! Why nt question the distris ???
HX 620 prices are gng down internationally by arnd 10-20% in last 1-2 mnths. What abt that. When 9800GT/9600GT/8800GT all prices came down even inspite of $ increase (they r all low volume products) due to international pricing. I dunno whom I should blame here, but both the dealers and distris are a part of a bigger chain. Even biggies like Reliance/Croma sadly souldn't break the jinx of these old distri chains and even they have to import via them.Strong network I must say as its very difficult for a new distri to come up because of these pan-chewing lamers.
VX 450 sells at arnd 60-65$ in US and Indian price is still arnd 3.3k or so! Whereas 520HX is arnd 120$ or so and sells for 6.8k, TX 750 is 100$ and sells for 7.5k. I dunno the volumes are so much apart that makes the prices so high ! When we had the high prices of HD 4870, no dealers here took an initiative to do anything, but finally do to some coercing with AMD India at least , we saw some very good prices on HD 4850/HD 4870. We being just buyers can do that...dealers dnt have the time for that I guess
What I suggest is that tie up soth some other distris as well. What we all r seeing is all and sundry here are with Tirupati only and its you only at the end who is getting slaughtered. There is "TAG" also for Corsair products who being a low profile one provides quite good rates in Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore.Same happened with MSI cards , where low prices were offered by "Acro" rather than Tirupati ! Even new line CM PSU's r good. If all the TE dealers depend on source only, I dunno whats gonna happen

Redington and TAG and Zebronics , some of which you have mentioned above.
