Dishwasher suggestion

So I've been monitoring the energy consumption of the Midea unit, and in ECO mode (full load) it uses around 0.65 kWh of energy. The user manual puts the consumption at 0.92 kWh, so this is actually lower than what they are claiming.

I have the dishwasher connected to a Tapo Smart Plug which shows the energy usage. If we look at the power draw graph, it's the heated cycles which actually consume the most energy (as we can expect). It seems in Eco mode, the whole wash/rinse stages complete in about 2 hours, and the remaining 1.75 hours is for drying, perhaps it uses the heat generated to slowly dry the vessels. In this case, I started the cycle at 7:35 AM and after 9:35 AM there is very less power draw, however the unit was still on with the timer showing around 90 min left.

I doubt those wifi energy meters are accurate, I have a LG diswasher which is marketed elsewhere as a A+ energy standards in countries like Australia, its has a peak power consumption of around 1600 W, which is 200 W less then your machine and even with solar hot water input it has consumed 0.8kWh of energy (actual ESCOM meter), so your meter is way off. This is with a wash cycle of 50 to 55c and rinse cycle of 70C.

If yours really consumed 0.65 kWh it will be better then the most efficient top of the line Bosch/Siemens that use Patented Zeolith drying that costs more then 1 lakh.

The accuracy is pretty decent for these units in my experience so far, I have at least 15 of them installed in two locations. I remember seeing a post by @rsaeon on this forum, comparing the measurement with a Meco energy meter and the readings were more or less identical. I’m using the same Tapo smart plug.

Also, as mentioned in the screenshot above, in Eco mode, it does only 45C wash and 60C rinse. The intensive mode uses much more energy, I think I saw 1.2-1.3 kWh (still lower than what’s mentioned in the manual).

Another thing is, in Eco mode, I didn’t see another spike in power draw after the rinse. So not sure how exactly it’s drying, does it just use the residual heat to dry?

yup same goes for wipro ones the readings are mostly accurate.
