Display dead?

Hi Everyone

I recently upgraded to SSD (WD 120 Gb) and installed Win 7 Ultimate (64 bit), after a few days of smooth run I am facing issues with display. Please look at the attached images. My desktop freezes at this point and only option left is a hard reboot. What do you think could be faulty here?

My config details are:
Intel E8400, Gigabyte G41 chipset mobo, Corsair XMS 4 Gb RAM, WD Green 1 TB, HDD.

To narrow software or hardware issue, please try booting through live disc of Ubuntu. From hardware side, this could be PSU and GFX card (if you have).

this might seem simple but make sure the power cable is firmly attached to the monitor. also check the cable betwen pc and monitor to see if it had become loose. I had this similar problem and culprit was the power cable to monitor became loose

Thanks, I will try that. When you had this problem, did your system also hang and would not work without a forced hard reboot?

This might be a RAM related problem. Run a memory test with a software like Memtest86.[DOUBLEPOST=1519746814][/DOUBLEPOST]Try re-seating the RAM, and check all cable connections.
