Hi there everyone.

I wished to purchase a new laptop/ ultrabook with the following requirements:

15.6'' HD SCREEN ( NO PIXELATED VIEW EVEN WITH 1080P VIDEO)

4 GB RAM

500-640GB HDD space

1 GB GRAPHICS CARD

6-8 HRS BATTERY LIFE ( BATTERY LIFE.. UTMOST CONSIDERATION)

3-4 USB PORTS ( USB 3.0 & USB 2.0)

DVD DRIVE


I really wish to capitalise on the festive season.....suggest the best u can people....
I hope this thread benefits many who want to splurge this DIWALI...

could someone please enlighten me about the laptop screen : glossy or matte....i never bothered to kno...

guys,,please suggest sum good High def screen models.....need to buy ASAP!!!
 
At 50k you would maximum get 1600*900 resolution (matte). 6-8 hrs battery life is not at all possible until and unless you use a really powered CPU or a 9 cell battery.

Glossy screen means the type of screen which has "gloss/shiny" effect, better brightness and viewing angle until and unless light falls directly on the screen. Glossy has a reflective nature so it will be really a PITA to work with refelction. Matte is just opposite.Not much bright but soothing to eyes and non-reflective.

Samsung NP550P5C-S01IN is your best bet with unbeatable config and battery life rated around 5hrs+.
