Do TE members think that I am a Spammer

I know you are keen to help but always double check the facts before suggesting something to some other person. I have seen some posts from you which were technically incorrect.

You could have tried getting the point through without mentioning any stuff you were unsure of.

Or since you have the time and will to help, you could have verified teh facts before you posted.

When google is just a click away, you can't say you didn't have the time if u had the will to help.

Infact that shoudl prompt u to double check facts before u post.

I myself have quoted and highlighted some posts of yours- i am no Guru- but i found some posts and comments fishy- esp the psu ratings one and sometimes pricing of stuff-

Hence i have also requested for links for the same from you.

There have been instances where it seemed you posted for the heck of it without being sure of the fact and later corrected yourself by saying lame stuff like ' oh yeah, remember now' or something like that.

About the exactness of technical data- have you ever passed any technical exam w/o being exact about technical data and definitions?

When someone is seeking advice/suggestion, technical data matters a lot and a wrong statement can prompt the buyer to settle for the inferior product if someone experienced/knowledgeable doesn't point out the mistake- and i am not referring to me.

Well, for your question, you ain't spamming but it would help if you are more cautious with your replies.

And most of your posts are helpful, so a lil spamming does ok too.:P

Post technical data and model number and specs only if one is sure about it else leave that out.

And this holds for all , not only you and me, imho.:cool2:

If you have nothing useful to say, stay away. Dont accuse people of being spammers when you havbent been here for half as long as they have been.

You call me a spammer and say that is supposed to be a compliment. But then you start this poll and want to be convinced you are NOt a spammer ?? Why ?? It's a compliment right ??

I dont know you well like how I know many other members. I am on much more friendly and personal terms with them.... I dont like someone like you just having a look a t my post count and saying I am a spammer.

As Saiyan said, if they were spam, they would have been deleted.

When TE was more a general forum we all spammed and 70% of your posts were in the pre-FE days and I presume out of that 50% were pure fun...:P

Then entertainment sections were part of TE, valid posts in that cannot be counted as spam as the mods hadn't disabled post count then.:cool2:

And that period has created many long lasting friendships even though most have not met yet maybe and that is what made TE what it is today.:cool2:

u ain't no spammer man, and the senior member dont think they are good, they just do whats good for the community, may be they frown upon people who REALLY spam and u aint in the list.

u helped a lot of people man, that wont count as spamming. keep up the good work.

Today TE has become very impersonal and cold (not the fault of anyone, but just how I feel).

I dont feel as attached to TE how I felt before.

Earlier, it was a small(comparatively) group of people posting and it was so much fun. Also add to the fact that many senior members are so busy outside TE that they hardly post....

Nikhil, you can't possibly expect TE to remain the same. New members will come in, and obviously bring some changes along with them. The way you framed your sentence somehow seems disapproving towards all new members. :no:

well everyone has to work, and besides there is life outside TE no?

I guess that's the part of growing up that is difficult to stomach, the change...

@ deepak, I don't think you're a spammer, but well you could work on getting some more information into your posts. I used to be a harda## kinda guy here meself, but that doesn't work, not online anyways...and a forum is more about the community than the actual subject matter IMO.
