All OS Do you use the mobile connection self service app

Many of you must be using the self service app of your respective operator like My Airtel or My Vodafone.

Just wanted to know what is the general opinion about the apps
  • What are the features that you most frequently use?
  • Which features you wish was there in the app?
  • Is there some feature you wish was better placed for ease of use?
  • Any other feedback or comments
 
They are okay , Have a corporate connection so cannot do anything with these . For everything you have to go to your coordinator . You can see bill , unbilled , activate 2G/3G or check special offers . But generally in 2G/3G plans , your coordinator will have better plans which are not available through internet .

I use My Airtel, and its pretty good. I use it to pay my bill and also to keep a tab on the actual data usage that is reflected by airtel. Sometimes the difference between 3g watchdog and the airtel figure is as much as 100 MB. Airtel figure being on the lower side. The smartbytes option is also good.
 
It sucks!!:rage: Warning!! On some operators apps even if you click on any menu inside, something or another gets activated for no reasons and fault and then you have to fight with those CC humans.:mad: It happened with me twice in the past hence I disable this specific icon itself for safety reasons. So even if my cell is in another hands, I'm rest assured that the operator icon/app wont work :cool:

I'm referring to SIM Tool Kit Services such as Vodafone live and Wow Dive-in for Docomo. I hope you are reffering to these service apps which are already loaded into the sim card itself. So these cannot be deleted or uninstalled but can only be disabled or turned inactive by 3rd party solutions.
 
It was quite handy during the time there wasn`t internet available on mobile phones. I remember using BSNL services for railway PNR enquiry etc.

Sometimes when there was balnce remaining we friends used to download ringtones and wallpapers (B&W), felt cool that time...

Now a times, there isn`t much of use as there are better alternatives via app or web. instead, the icon is nothing but obstackle on the screen.

No I am not talking about stuff loaded into the SIM. I am talking about mobile apps which you install from the respective app stores.
 
Hope there was some such app for bsnl or aircel.
When i use these 3g networks on my ipad cellular,i really have no idea about my balance,validity etc.
