Does ayur medicine have expiry ? can expired tablets be consumed ?

Recently while cleaning my shelf came across the triphala churnam tablets which have expired by 1 year . Still some 50 tablets are there , should i use it or throw it. Observed that its in good state color or consistency not changed - airtight.

Let me know what you guys think - about this .

Well if the tablets were stored properly in an airtight container , havent caught any moisture or any fungus or mold... then they are Not HARMFUL but side by side arent useful as well..

Ayurveda medicines ezpecially the vati and choorn lose their potency very very quickly and beyond the expiry date they have very little potency left in them..

Sincere suggestion... Don't use.. Discard..as you never know what kind of microbial growth might have strated in them as its well over 1 year from expiry..

As it is triphala isn't expensive at all.. Buy fresh ones

I wouldn't call it medicine, far from it, but its contents may actually be nutritious. It seems to be a mix of 3 fruits.
