Security Software Does Virus infect ISO image files?

my friend has a lot of viruses in his PC ? (that's wot he's sez :P )

anyways, he just got a couple of ISO image files that he's going to install :ashamed: using Daemon Tools,is it possible for a virus to infect the ISO image?

Please give ur opinions and answers as i myself don't know whether such a thing is possible.that's y confused
 
No, as the image when loaded will be read only just like a CD/DVD. But if he writes a new ISO, it might get infected.
 
NO.. i dont think so.. my PC was infected with very strong virus, 1 month ago.. all exe's were destroyed except in ISO..
 
Technically speaking its pretty esay to infect an iso, its just another archive,,,
but havent come across one...

so ur iso r safe,,,provided they dont hav a virus in them before hand..lol
