Yeah good for me :P

afaik the dollar and dh. have a fixed ratio.....there is no fixed ratio for the same like the $ : Rs. If the $ goes up the dh. automatically goes up by a "Fixed" % and if the $ fall the dh. falls in the same "Fixed" % ....i'm sure ur refering to the dh: rs. ratio :).......the dh. was sub 11 abt 6-7 months back !

btw, sources say dollar might sore 55+

I was thinking why no dealer came up with a thread for this as an excuse for raising prices:rofl:

You never disappoint Amarbir:P

would like to discuss this and know how things work at a dealers end, wanted to know if this is universal -or- this is how it is common consumer has to accept the stuff.....local shops never dropped prices when the $ drops. When the $ drops the purchase price becomes cheaper for the dealer BUT the selling price however stays constant or it howers as per the market trend. However , the dealer would say that he is running in a loss because the $ is low and he has so much of stock lying around. But the moment $ goes high , prices sore , the lying around stock goes underground and sell @ a premium , so things got cheaper get sold at a usual margin + the $ excuse and the newer lot of the stock still sells with a margin....ultimately the people to suffer are the consumers. and this is especially limited or related to the computer market given the high fluctuation of the rates. At the end of the day, thats business.

True....

Should be explained

Umm, does no one think the reason the dollar just got more expensive is cos maybe, just maybe the RBI pumped in some more Rs. into the economy ?

This ain't a one way street ya know.

I always see thread from Dealers whenever Dollar rate goes up. Please some one post even when the Dollar rates go down :P

dollar prices inreasing are bad for us

all dealers at shops start charging more and as told in detail in above posts the end loser is the consumer
