Hey guys hows is this game? Do we have any TE teams? Is it hard to master? I actually am not interested in this game. Just want to try it for the hype. Read its tough to master.

So anyone liking the "new" DOTA2? :p
My only update since pre-TI5. Whopping 6.3GB lol.
Is anybody watching CDEC's cinderella story, from a wild card team to the grand finals of TI5? Unbelievable!
I didn't know about CDEC performance till I read the news and when I did I was very shocked and also amazed. Underdogs to $2.8M. HOLY! But I'm disappointed with the performance of Secret and C9. Secret seemed to have internal issues and EE broke in TI.
I also liked the fact that Aui got kicked from EG after winning the TI5 So much shockness. So much drama. /r thread https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/3h2oxx/postti5_reshuffle_megathread/

Reborn is umm, ok performance wise, but the UI is missing a lot of features. The chat window is miniscule and I hate merged chats with color coding. Custom games are pretty good though. It was unfortunate that they rushed out Reborn with so many missing features. They will add them eventually, but we all know about Valve time.

Is it just me or is playing bots in offline mode not possible anymore? I couldn't see the "shop" nor were my abilities readable. Also the loading takes way too long now. Did i miss something?
But online I can view the custom games. Though i haven't tried them yet. Its just not playable for me at all. I'd rather wait for a stable update or something. Til then i'll farm in BL2 and TL2.

Played it once, was good time pass. Need to check the Halloween map. I really skillshot wars though.

Also played Haunted Coloseum. I thought that it was a substitution for Diretide which yields items. Oh boy how disappointed i was.
And Valve's new policy on item sale is so ****ing pathetic. Aren't they rich enough for gawd's sake? Why the hell are they forcing the community to buy items from the store? Some people might say that its not a must to trade but still i dont think that this is good ethics. Valve's reason was "to help in preventing scams" but everyone knows that its just an excuse for them including the items creators to earn more revenue.
And the other day I was watching a Secret vs Vici match highlights. It was literally Game of Gold! Gold lead, surplus gold on EE and W33. Super sparkling golden cosmetics. One day even the items on the shops will be golden color. And also dont forget the alarming number of shitty-looking poorly designed items/sets being submitted in the workshops/added to the game. Oh my gawd...
I wish we could go back to the time of the First International when people truly loved the game and there were also not so many cosmetics and were genuinely priced. But one can only dream and reminisce... :([DOUBLEPOST=1446482248][/DOUBLEPOST]Excuse the rant, i had to else i would've exploded from the frustration.
What is the best/good all-round heroes aka OP heroes in the newer patches? I heard that Tusker and Doom are the "best" and PL/PA falling. I played a few matches with Doom against bots just because of that. I didn't even read the changelogs.
Best/viable support? Wyvern?
Best/viable offlane? Tusk?
Best/viable carry? Idk.

I cant comment on the meta right now, but I like tanky carries with disables. I will explain the logic too. Usually, in my experience, any single weak player in the team can be the reason for the loss if I have a support / non-pivotal role. So I chose players who by themselves can control the field better. Abadon, Axe, Bristleback, Slardar. All of them can be played like carries and can tank hard enuff to have greater impact on the game and reduce chances due to bad plays from other team members. The tanky bit also makes me less reliant on team mistakes. These are the characters with whom I have the highest win record.

Most other characters will need some co-ordination from the team to have an impact (I say this only as a general statement, there will always be few exceptions). The unique thing is that these are also NOT the main carries (Not position 1 or position 2). So I am not arguing for the hypothesis that my team wins only when I play carry and I am the most farmed. No. I only want a high impact player to control the game better and not die for my team's mistakes.

Sooner or later (in most games), this does help in the team evolving their plays around me. Or maybe I just get lucky!

Happy to discuss other such characters or other strategies for playing team MMR when queued solo.

Wyvern is definitely good right now. The slow and nuke are very good laning spells, while the heal is OP against a physical damage heavy lineup. The ulti goes through bkb and is very strong with even slightly decent team work. Tusk is good both with combos and solo kills and can pull off flashy plays. Good carries right now seem to be Gyro, PL, Juggernaut, position 1 Ember, SF, Sven and even CK. But anything works in low mmr games.

Yes, high impact heroes. I forgot the term haha

Me too. But Valve seems to love nerfing whichever heroes. I used to play Cancer Lancer a lot but it got nerfed. Then Void which also got nerfed. Same case with Tidehunter etc i could go on and on. I also marathoned Slardar for a while.
My favorite role is the offlane. So i go with tanky stunner+disabler mostly like Tide and Centaur etc. but i often fall to the Role 4 because of bad supports (a scrub-tier nightmare).
My biggest wins are with BountyHunter and Windrunner (windRANGER my ass) i think.

Fun fact: my success rate with Tinker might be below 30%, against BOTS! XD[DOUBLEPOST=1446550520][/DOUBLEPOST]

LOL.[DOUBLEPOST=1446551087][/DOUBLEPOST]I highly doubt that. Unless you get fat enough to take them all on. One of the reasons why I used to play a lot of Void and PL. So i might have the chance to take them all late game if i can. Opponents too tanky for Void? BUY THE RAPIER!! And a situational Refresh Orb. Can't teamfight with PL? GO IMB4 RAT!! Well thats what he's mainly for anyway even though he seems to be falling off the meta. I've also build Refresh a few times on Jug.

PL doesnt seem nerfed anymore. You just have to be a little more careful since his escape isnt as straight forward now. Void can still steamroll the game easy if he has a proper babysitter. But that's exactly my point. I am not talking about any easy steamrollers that need help. Each of my heroes (the ones that I suggested and any others I would add to the list) can do things well solo. And hence take over the game. Without needing too much farm. So even position 4 is fine.

It may be a little difficult to explain what I mean without seeing the game or my playstyle. My role also allows me to control the game or save people. So BB can take over tanking duties and ensure either opposition is trying to kill me or will die from my quill stacks in a fight. Abadon can shield and save people. Slardar can tank and stun like anything. Not dazzle though. He can grave once and die. He can save one guy and then die himself, so I rely on team to make a difference after I am through. High impact in a good team but not otherwise. Or rubick. Awesome in good hands. Even better in a good team. But mediocre in a bad team, despite however well you may play.

Like I said, gotta see to know what I mean.

Saw this just a few days ago
Sodium, atomic number 11, was first isolated by Peter Dager in 1807. A chemical component of salt, he named it Na in honor of the saltiest region on earth, North America.

^I haven't watch any tournament stream for nearly a year now :([DOUBLEPOST=1447084499][/DOUBLEPOST]I could actually. Just twitch's codes screwing up. Barely loading on a 70mbps net connection lol. Hitbox doesn't give any problem. Well it does but only sometimes. While Twitch can't even run. >.>[DOUBLEPOST=1447088682][/DOUBLEPOST]Message to IceFrog and Valve
