Douchebag Mittal asks Zuckerberg to do philantropy if he wants Free Internet [Mittal should do now!]

^^ Lot of BS from Mittal if you ask me. Of course, I don't agree with Zuckerberg either. There is no need for any telecom service to be offered free and there is no need to fleece the customer for max profits. Telecom operators make a lot of money. Even with multiple players in the market, they indulge in price fixing and other tactics to make a killing. Tell me which telecom operator is not making impressive profits. On top of that, every one of these operators are now eager to charge additional cost on VoIP services in addition for the cost of bandwidth they consume. In US, operators are already charging doubly both the service provider and the consumers for the same bandwidth. I am pretty sure that Indian operators are going to follow suit. If Mr Mittal has his way, he would rather get money from both facebook as well as the consumers for the use of the same bandwidth.

Next time atleast do bother to read the article before going on ranting about like a butthurt kid.

Incidentally, Airtel Africa is one such partner for Facebook, while rival Reliance Communications has partnered Facebook in India for this initiative, which is based on assumption that bringing more people to the internet fold by offering them free service initially is good for the industry.

"I told him (Zuckerberg) that you are right that this (internet.org) expands the market. At the end, you must understand that we (telecom operators) need to charge you for something. SMSes have gone more or less, voice is going down and they (Facebook) recognise that," Mr Mittal said in a media interaction here.

Lol. You didn't tell me you were Airtel Fanboy. I read the article fully, I am well aware of the facebook deal in africa.

I tried to emphasize on
1. Mittal is trying to mislead saying call costs have just gone up by 3p in last 3 years.
2. He asks you pay for VoIP separately.
3. He's Against OTT

Basically he wants to dictate , He has a problem with other providers encouraging internet.org which i am against. Well no one wants a ATT & Comcast like scene here.

(Now I'm waiting for you to add vodafone to that pointless signature of yours)
How is my signature about airtel bothering you. I am not going to add vodafone unless it does anything senseless.
This signature was added during protest during Failtel's VoIP data exclusion from 2Gpacks, Anti net neutrality stand of it.

Analysts said for a company like Bharti Airtel the entire amount spent for buying 900 MHz spectrum can be recovered by profits earned in just four years. The spectrum will be allocated for 20 years.

"Markets are overreacting on negative side especially because telecom firms are expected to hike tariffs... the payback comes a lot quicker," said SV Prasad of Chime Consulting.

I was going to post that. They need a reason to hike tariffs.
