Download Speeds on 1 Mbps Lines ??

Hi Folks,

What download speeds do you guys get on 1 Mbps connection?

I have 1Mbps from Spectranet @ Rs 1100 monthly and get average download speeds of 80-90 kbps which I think is pretty less.

Guys report on your speeds.

Also any folks staying in South Delhi - Sheikh Sarai Phase 2 suggest me a good connection.
I am sick with Sify and Spectranet...I dont think Airtel has lines here.
 
For me it is around 90 - 95 mbps & max 116mbps.
I feel your speed is fine considering 80% of total bandwidth you should get at any point of time. 20% loss is acceptable as per TRAI.
 
My local cabewallah's 1Mbps gives me an average of ~110 Kbps, with a maximum of 120 Kbps.

~90 Kbps is perfectly acceptable. I used to get similar speeds on Airtel. But 80 Kbps seems a tad low, even if acceptable as per TRAI norms. Is this some kind of last mile thing? Are other users with the same connection getting such speeds?
 
120Kbps consistently on an Airtel 1Mbps line. What you're getting seems to be a bit too low for a 1Mbps line.

On second thoughts its ok but definitely not as good as you guys.
