DTDC sucks !!!

Rahul from Theitwares sent me a Corsair 450W PSU (bought it due to Bikeys instance ! :ohyeah: ) on Friday.

Its Tuesday now and I have not received it !

I checked the tracking number and this came up -

What the hell does that status mean anyway ? :huh:

So I called them up today and gave them my address and told them I want it urgently. They said they would immediately call me back. But I was at work and I soon forgot about it. Now I reached home and its not here. Tomorrow is a holiday so again I wont get it. :(

Now I bought a 8800 GTS 512 MB on Tuesday which is just gathering dust thanks to DTDC. I am very disappointed since I had time to install it tomorrow and play some original games that I bought.

I know its not Rahul's fault, but I regret buying from him because of this. If I bought it from Prime (or a retail shop), I would have installed it on Saturday and I would be enjoying games instead of ranting in this post. :@
And I wish he did not use DTDC since it already has a bad reputation on this site. And when I told him I didn't receive it even today, he merely gave me the docket number and told me to contact them directly ... He didn't even seem bothered by the fact that I hadn't received it yet. :(

Again to reiterate its not really Rahul's fault since his delivery guy quit on him. So I suppose this is only a one off incident, but I wish he would at least show a bit more concern for his customers happiness. :ashamed:

And ya u can check the "Detailed Tracking" in IE Browser.

Just click on the drop down "Additonal Details" to find out the info of where ur package is :P.

Same status was there in one of my courier today , and within a phone call, I got it delivered in 2 hrs :)
 
i kept on doing followup with them as amarbir sent 2-3 shipments. and i used to get shipments like in 48hours after constant followup and stating reasons like its very urgent.. :P no problems with DTDC so far!!
 
I used Pafex (Fedex), shipped GTS to him on Monday night, reached on Wed Evening, less than 2days. Yea DTDC takes more time when KMD ships anything to me.
 
Thing is when u book in DTDC plz ask for DTDC PLus. I have seen lot of ppl paying arnd 120 per kg and still it takes 3-4 days for item to reach.

DTDC plus is assured shipping in 48 hrs (Metro Cities) and 72 hrs (non-metro). Cost is arnd 120 per kg for national, and 80 per kg for regional.And ya there is a next day shipping option as well, but thats arnd 180 per kg. Thing is that we act as cheapos while shipping stuff. 10k item ppl send but nt ready to spend 300-400 on courier! We all know hw good DHL/FedEx is but even in US for a 1-2 kg item shiipping come to 10-15$. Are we ready to pay up that much?
 
it depends from location to location the dtdc guy at my place is superb free pick up from home and guranteed next day delivery sometimes cases like these happens.

^^ Its understandable if it is shipped from another state or even from another city within a state. But its ridiculous when it takes so long to ship it within the same city for a distance of not more than 15 kms ! :|

Well I have been using DTDC and had no problems so far....I keep tracking the package.....

sent it east, west, NE, far south , north literally and no problems ....all delivered in time..... :) "touch wood "

packages from KMD reach in 1-2 days max
 
@Supra - I opened the website in IE, can't see anything new. Also tomorrow is Ganesh Chaturthi . So doubt it will arrive then. :(

Btw This "Ville Parle" branch never delivers if it reaches them afternoon it seems. remember when I sent a few items to few TE members. Why u guys dnt go there nd blast them. Go and talk to the branch head directly.
 
Huh ?? Still can't see it. The screenshot just shows that it was booked on Friday and it is with the Vile Parle branch from Saturday. Its now Tuesday night. So where does it show that the delivery is on 3rd September morning ? :)
 
Are what I am talking abt is where its stuck...its never shows when it will be delivered !!!! I dunno how could u even wait for 2 days , just call and blast them....if they dnt deliver I would have went & picked and blasted those guys.

If they dnt deliver tmr so the thing will be lying with them from last sat to thursday ! Sorry but I wouldn't have risked that thing. I would have rather wasted some time (may be slept 1 hr less) and went there and take it , rather then being the internet generation :rofl:
 
^^ Yeah just called them up and gave them a piece of my mind ! They said 'maybe' it will arrive tomorrow afternoon since it is a holiday.

And I came home very late on Monday so couldn't do much about it yesterday.

Dude I was coming to your place on Thursday. But you said you would not be there so I shouldn't come !

I told you I work at Khoparkhairne and it would take me a minimum of 2 hours to reach Kandivili and so it would not be feasible for me to come there so late.

And as I clearly said twice in my initial post, I blame DTDC and not you for this incident. If DTDC had given the PSU to me on Saturday, I would have been a happy customer. But since they delayed this and you wouldn't even reply to the 2 smses I sent you today I got annoyed.
 
I understand yaar but even if i call them they are going to tell me the same thing DTDC does'nt wrk for me I you or Anyone is just the same for them.

In ur smses u say the same thing that ur PSU is'nt there but once its sent from my place to urs its no more in my hands or urs its all upto them we can only call them and ask for an urgent delivery tatz it

Do you think they gonna wrk faster if we create 5 threads like this.......
 
DTDC Intracity service for mumbai is pathetic. They are quiet good at delivering the outstation packages, but for some reason they are just plain hopeless when it comes to local packaged.

Bloody TPC are better for intracity than DTDC.

When KMD sent me those razer headphones, it took them 2 months ( yes you read it right, 2 months :P ) to deliver the item to me from KMDs place in Mumbai to me :P

KMD filed lost shipment claim with them and he and even the branch from which he sent the item thought it was lost and one fine day courier guy delivered it. I had forgotten all about it by then.

And 1 more time under similar circumstances it took them 1 week to deliver item to me.

Its better to use couriers like vichare (documents), TPC for local shipment and DTDC only for outstation shipments. I have very good experience with DTDC outstation shipments.
