Yep dl dvd's are still to expensive ! imagine a single coaster wud cost u 400 
I think its the 99min overburning ur talking abt. It works with normal cds on some burners. But yeah there were some higher capacity cds which died a quick death cos of cheap dvd+r and dvd-r discs. Again not worth the money when u can get a good quality +r blank for 35 bucks.argus_smith said:

It's just the technology which allows you to write more data on a single regular CD-R. Conventionally cds are burned (literally) which form etches on the special material layer. Etches represent 1s and 0s. While burning care is taken to leave some space between two cosecutive binary digits. This space is standardised. While HD-Burn allows you to burn more data on that same CD-R by decreasing the distance between two consecutive binary digits. Not many writers support this technology.
