I recently got my XFX 7600 GS with 2 DVI connectors..the pack also contains 2 DVI to vga pin adapter..since this is my first card with such a connector, i'm kind of confused as to which of the 2 dvi connector to connect to my monitor..
Also , i've heard that there is a bandwidth restriction of a maximum of 60 hz @ 2.6 megapixels when using a single dvi link to an lcd monitor..but the problem is solved by using the both the dvi links in pair..i'm currently using a CRT but intend to buy an lcd soon enuf...so for the time being, which of the 2 dvi link shud i connect to my 17" CRT monitor?

Guys, pls reply..which of the 2 DVI connectors shud i use to connect to my CRT monitor? This card doesnt have a vga out.. but they've supplied 2 dvi to vga adapters..

there is no such thing as dual link connector. The card will either have dual link support or it wont.

For 17" monitor with resolution of probably 1280x1024 max it does not matter which connector you use. you need dual link with those high end high resolution LCD monitors.

so that means i can use any of the 2 dvi sockets for my monitor?

lol didnt i say the same above :P
Anyway yes, you can use anyone with DVI to vga converter.

for single monitor setup it does not matter which connector you plug your monitor in. Try plugging it in connector2, it will still be shown as primary display 1.

Okay, one more question..if i were to use another monitor (like say a 15") simultaneously (alongwith a 17"), utilizing the second dvi out, will it cause problems if the smaller monitor doesnt support a higher resolution of the 17 incher? MAybe a noob question but i seriously need to know..:)

You can set different resolutions for both the monitors. I had a 19" widescreen and a 17" crt simultaneously running at 1440x900 and 1152x864
