Storage Solutions DVD is stuttering when playing movies

I have purchased asus 2014s1 6 months before. I have not used the drive much. But recently which i play movies from cd and dvd it stutters every second. Is my drive gone bad ? Also loading takes approx 15 secs
 
Its DMA dude. Ur drive is not the problem. Just uninstall and IDE controllers and then restart and DMA would be enabled. Else just go to Device Manager>IDE Controllers> Primaryt Channel > Properties> Enable DMA

And u should be up and going...:)
 
Thanks. its indeed in pio mode uninstalled the chipset drivers and re installed now its working fine. The dvd loading takes approx 20-25 secs so i thought lens has gone bad
