Storage Solutions DVD/RW Calibration Error

My DVD RW can't seem to write audio files on CD's (700mb/80min).I keep getting an error saying Burning process failed.It can read DVD's/CD though.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

P.S: I have tried disabling the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service, but still doesn't seem to work.

If the DMA settings are fine, maybe a change of media?

What about DVD media? Does the burner burn those correctly? Also, what is your power supply?

wt burning utility u r using??...if nero check if any DRM rights conflict, allow all users. a log file upload would be helpful to solve the prob.

For me , this happened as a symptom to my ASUS drive going kaput...

Reducing the writing speed and doing a burn worked for my old CD writer. I think it's worth a try.

I had got this problem once before.I upgrade my firmware and then it worked perfectly.
And also try burning to branded discs..( no national )

It happened on my sony drive too.

When I googled it, I found that sony drives are more prone to this.

If you are using a sony one, its time for RMA.

Yes, i tried bios change, media change, write speed change, molex change, ide cable change but nothing happened.

I've got a Liteon DVD RW, I've decided to send it back for repair next week.
