Light scribe is available in India (definitely in madras). Saw verbatims for Rs100 about a month back. Looked good and all that.

Maybe some of the members here can help u in getting the drive and i can definitely help u in getting the lightscribe media if you want. Jaber, where do u live? I might need a drive too. Can you help? Give us the shop number/location or maybe u can buy and ship for me?

DL's are available too but still damn costly. Not worth in my opinion especially they are more prone to damage, data loss due to scratches.

Can you give me Phone no of benq dealers where i can get 1640/1650. I am in mumbai, i checked at borivali,kandivali but no one has got benq.

1650 does NOT have LS, teh 1655 does! Verbatim +R DL discs are 350-400 here.
