Hey there,
I have an Intel motherboard which has a DVO slot(it looks like an APG card slot). It says that i cannot install an APG card in it as it may damage the motherboard. But i want to improve my graphics output. Can u please tell me what is a DVO card and is it better or not as good as an APG card.
Thanks for all your help...... :)

It is a P1845GLM-L motherboard (845GL)
2.00 GHz processor
632mb RAM
Intel 82845G graphics controller card(in built)

Is it a Mercury Board?

Anyways regardless of the brand, you cannot put in any AGP card even though the slot size is the same.

You could try a PCI graphics card.... but not recommended.

DVO stands for "Digital Video Out". Proprietary Intel Technology for making add on cards. Now succeeded by Serial DVO. DVO is used for add on cards and media extender for basically digital output like DVI and also S-Video/TV Out.

found only one link about dvo and 845 on intels website

Read up about SDVO on Wikipedia and you will get an understanding about DVO
