To start with, some rumors from Neogaf/Reddit concerning Microsoft/XBox One :


  • Microsoft is buying out publishers to not mention the PS4 versions of multi-platform titles, so you can assume if the presenter does not say "EXCLUSIVE TO XBOX ONE", that it will also be on PS4.
  • More in depth DRM info at Gamescom. There is no rental strategy, they're trying to just sweep it under the rug and hope people don't remember.
  • Cloud power was designed as DRM. It was Microsoft's idea, and they approached other publishers. EA and Ubisoft support, Activision slightly less so.
  • DRM plans are worse than what they have said.
  • Mirror's Edge 2 at MS conference.
  • Prince of Persia (reboot?) at MS conference.
  • Secret Phil Spencer game = World of Tanks. It is said that you still need Gold to play F2P games?
  • Paywall for Xbox One.
  • Dead Rising 3 as Xbox One exclusive. Exclusive DLC for another Capcom game.
  • No paywall for PS4, but it's unconfirmed.
  • Sony is very tight on their DRM policies, so no DRM info.

Most impressive game was titanfall.

As a multilayer lover, it was superb to watch.

So many new strategies can that innovative gameplay develop it's on an epic scale.
 
Sony has clearly won this year's E3! Looks like they've learnt from their mistakes last time. Good stuff really. Looking forward to buy the console before the next Uncharted is out.
 
Sony's conference was the anecdote really in an otherwise business oriented multiplayer reeking E3.

Damn it damn it wtf now both the consoles sucks! only consolation its a bit better than xbone. why + subscription necessary for MP? Thats a stupid act like 360. Another reason for not having interest on 360. Instead of making it 100$ cheaper they should have made it 50$ cheaper and should have kept the multiplayer as it is.

Now what few days later steam and origin will also start subscribe to play MP. This is just BS.

I am ok with the + subscription if they upgrade the level to match the 360's.
Keeping the current level of online experience, PS may lose the war in terms of online content and quality.
 
^^The current online experience may be a bit slow but its worth it. They do offer some good contents at + but making it mandatory for multiplayer is just a cheap act.

Its not cheap when you consider that they could have basically jumped the bandwagon with regards to used games and that would have costed a bomb.
I would have been pissed if they had charged anything for the current crap they are serving me.
 
^^what crap? except for the slow online feature i dont see any other thing like that. Infact the games they are offering in + are good too.

Anyways leave the used game technique thats a business strategy. They wanted to hear what MS is doing first. The fact is i only want multiplayer and nothing else yes if in future i found something interesting they are giving me in + then i may subscribe. But making it mandatory for multiplayer is just a cheap act as far as i am concerned. I would have supported them if they had priced the console around 500$ and had left the multiplayer untouched.

This is pure extortion. Now they know people are pissed at ms's DRM policy therefore they have no other option left.
 
If you interchange between the daily xbox and ps3 online experience like i do, the online system on ps3 is crap.

As for looking at what microsoft do - it aint possible to change your tech as soon as this. It is clear that sony had thought about this philosophy long back, maybe even since the inception of ps4.

Being a plus member, i am happy that sony are integrating it even more in the ps4 and making it a standard. You have to understand that they need to get in with the competition. If they had kept the same crappy online experience abeit it being free - it would have ruin them with regards to Microsoft.
 
I am a + member too but i dont intend to keep on renewing my subscription every time. As for the DRM is concerned (i mean the online play) I think it has nothing much to do with the hardware (which will be bit a difficult to change now). Yes they might have that in their mind from the beginning seeing the features of 360.But that really is not a good idea to implement. Maybe good for 360 users but i am totally against it. When i am purchasing a game then why should i pay again to access its another feature. Its not a dlc nor some extra stuff its just an integrated feature which comes with the game.Then why pay approx 400rs again for it? That too every month.
