Hi guys,

I am planning to buy a PROC....can you tell me which is better and more stable.......

E7200 or E8200.......

And a good MOBO in the Range of 7k....:)

Tel me ur budget on proc mate.. board for 8K go wit ASUS P5Q or a MSI NEo p45 or a Biostar i45 couple it wit a E8400 or a E7200 :hap2: :ohyeah:

7200 is pure Value for Monye great performance bt 7200 doenst support virtualisation if ur not using tht then go for a 7200 :ohyeah:

Thanx alot virus32win... i was looking for a Proc for gaming purpose...and the Link that you sent clearly states that E8200 is better then E7200 as far as performance is concerned....

^ they r comparing CPU @ stock, and lower resolution. Note : CPU plays big role @ lower reso. E7200 is 2.53GHz, E8200 is 2.66GHz

@ 3.6 or above, any CORE architecture CPU, yes any (from E2140 to QX9770) is more than enough. and performance scaling is low above 3.6 except unreal engine games.

get E7200, and w/ 2k saved get Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer 2k.

hey thats all gibberish to me....can you explain it in a simple lingo..

he meant all core arch CPU's almost produce more or less same fps in games when OC to 3.6ghz... but cache does matter for some games.....

E7200 --2.53 GHz--1,066 MHz--3 MB--45 nm $119.99

E8200 --2.66 GHz--1,333 MHz--6 MB--45 nm $164.99

E8400 --3.00 GHz--1,333 MHz--6 MB--45 nm $169.99

Only 5$ difference price in E8200 and E8400 and E7200 differ by 50$ from both in price.

NOTE-Price source Newegg

yeah i dont need RAID and Esata but i am looking forward to a decent board for 7k....which i dont have to change for a year or 2......:)
