Ok Battlefield: Bad Company is not gonna release on PC but still the latest trick that EA has up it's sleeve is simply loathsome. According to reports last week EA will unlock certain weapons during game only if player pays for them.
Though EA has issued a press release in a bid to try and defend their move, not many are convinced.

What the gamers here think about the EA's move... come on as consumers our opinion matters (even though not many actually buy games) :P

My opinion....I will never want to pay for a weapon....I would rather play a game where all weapons are free....:bleh:

i ll go and start slashing with the default (even if they only gimme a knife instead of a pistol :P )

else one day who knows, they might charging for ammo clips too

all those counterstrike cash baskets will require a working credit card.

lol if it starts charging for virtual guns then why not i but a real gun from a local dealer and shoot the guy who thought of this

I wonder. People seem happy enough to buy virtual items in most of the MMORPGs anyway. EA probably just wants in on that action.

This isn't new. Even GT5P makes you pay for extra cars and tracks. This is one reason why console gaming sucks.

hahahah.....let them do it , someone will let out a patch which unlocks everything , and EA will sit there feeling dumb..

First we pay for the game. Now we have to pay for guns. What next? Paying per hour of gameplay? Game developers/publishers need to be practical and should not take the gamers for a bunch of zombies (although may actually are)

Yeah. Now u pay for the guns...next u'll have to pay for the ammo...

Imagine.. You are shooting all the bad guys, and suddenly u run out of Ammo. A message pops up on ur screen saying - Rush to ur nearest EA store to purchase Ammo or die anyways

Wont happen, will be simply too bad just like Bioshock Installation problem, there will be a patch and lot of apologies.
