ECI Telecom, a global provider of advanced telecommunications solutions, announced the opening of a new Research and Development (R&D) centre in India. The new site joins ECI's existing R&D facilities in the US, Israel and China.
The new centre is expected to reduce the time to market of new products, features and technologies for ECI's worldwide customers. It will also help develop a strong technical talent pool in the region, the company said.
The R&D site will focus on ECI's broadband access solutions to develop its next generation product line and management solutions, as well as to expedite the penetration of new products to the region. Additionally, the centre will focus on ECI's optical networking solutions for complex testing and integration of the XDM platform and network management solutions, the company said.
