No, Xilenser is the fanless version. I remember seeing it listed on prime, but it is not listed there anymore.

I ordered the FSP Aurum 500W from hardware.in and got a mail this evening that it is shipped, so far so good.

It got delivered today afternoon and the packing was almost bulletproof!

I got two bubblewrap sheets of approx 4 x 4 ft, the third one got damaged because of the multiple layers of packing tape on it. Once I got through the packing tape and bubblewrap, inside was 1-1.5 inch thermocol which was double taped, inside that the actual box was covered in newspaper! It took me half an hour to cut and strip the whole packaging; halfway through it I was convinced inside would be a box filled with stones, cos who would do so much packaging for sending something from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai! If there is a gold medal for packing, these guys would win it for India.

The power supply itself looks like the real deal, haven't installed it in my PC yet since I got home very late from work. But once I do that, I am thinking of starting a thread in the "hot deals & discussions" forum about this deal. Till now, I am thoroughly impressed with hardware.in

They are among the bad list of capacitor manufacturers, and probably explain why the ripple suppression is poor. You might be lucky and it could last long, but I would keep an eye on it after 2 years.

Aurum FSP are veterans in PSU's (of course, they made their enrty in India only recently), it's had to believe that they are unaware of this drawback (if it's a proven thing).
 
^ FSP lost their edge quite some time back and were churning out pretty average units. These are relatively better, except there still seems to be some form of cost cutting.
 
Well the Coolermaster Extreme power 600W that I replaced with this Aurum 500W has lasted me more than 2 years, so this has to last longer than that.

Found this Johny Guru review of a PSU based on FSP Aurum platform but with a Capxon load capacitor. They have called it a negative, but still recommended it.

In the teardown of the Aurum 500W unit on another site, you can see the load capacitor is Rubycon and only the smaller caps on the Secondary side are Capxon(all 105 degc rated). Also the issue with capxon caps seems to be with the larger caps (>1000 microF). Also with my current setup(without discrete GPU), I would rarely be loading the PSU to 50% of its capacity. That should mean that the thermal load on the caps should be less and hence life should be more.

As it is the website says 5 yr warranty and hardware.in listing says 3 years. First impressions are good, the fan seems to be very quiet in comparison to the CM extreme. +12V, +5V and +3.3V were all good on idle and load (Load 12.34V, 5.10V and 3.35V)

Yes as always YMMV. These caps tend to be heat sensitive, so a lot depends on your setup. I know someone with an Antec Smartpower using Fujjhyu caps that has lasted 11 years :P

Reviews obviously can't test for lifespan. I notice a lot of the reviews tend to recommend products even with bad caps; perhaps they feel it should last long enough. Plus they also have lower ambient temperatures. But you just need to head to badcaps.net to look at the number of cap failures to realise its not a foolproof recommendation.

The primary caps very rarely fail. The secondary side caps are more important since any failure can directly affect your components.
Also not sure if higher capacitance ones are the only ones affected, and even if so most PSUs use atleast a 1000/1600uF 16V cap on the 12V rail.
 
All my capxon bulged and started leaking after 3 years in my viewsonic lcd monitor power supply board.
