Graphic Cards El Cheapo Heatsink for 8600gt

This may sound absurd,

But the fan on my 8600gt gaveup and not i am stuck with a overheating 8600gt.

xfx 8600gt is still in warranty but having heard of rashi warranty woes ( i also have a first hand experiance of the same )

I want to replace the heat sink myself.

Does any one know of an el cheap heat sink for 8600gt which can be procured locally ?

In all honesty, you should try out RMA'ing. If the fan wont turn, there is possibly no excuse Rashi could give you for not replacing the card.

try RMA , u may also get a 512mb one in replacement if u got 256mb

stock intel heatsink is fantastic for 8600gt it fits nicely, u just have 2 make proper clips and use proper nutbolts ....u,ll see immediate 15-20 *c temp drop @load!!

i'm using the one that came with my E2160!! 45 I - 66 L !! with TOOTHPASTE as TIM!!!:rofl:

i got a gigabyte 8600 gt .. it doesnt hav fan .. only a crappy silent pipe.. so i jsut bought a locally avaiable fan fr 40 bucks n tied it on my card with a thread... temp drops about 10 degrees... so if u hav reasonable psu this would be the cheapest way..
