Hi guys

i am gonna buy Elder Scrolls IV GOTY and Witcher Enhanced Edition

I just wanna ask if these two games have any sort of compatiblity issues with Windows 7 x64

Have any of you played these games in Windows 7x64?

If yes please post your experiences here

i am buying these from a friend for 300 bucks a piece:ashamed:

My Current config

HD4200 IGP

AMD ATHLON II X4 635

2x2GB DDR3 RAM

20" LCD monitor@1600x900

I'm now playing Oblivion in windows 7... except the normal bugs, there aren't any issues. Same was with Witcher EE. Played it on WIndows 7.. no issues. :D

Thanks Vamsi bhai for the prompt answer

but were you playing on Windows 7 x64?

because i heard that only the x64 causes trouble with these old games

Yup. Windows 7 x64. Never had an issue with those two. And There won't be any issues unless the game is really aged.

But, witcher might give your IGP a hard time.

I dont think the Witcher will play very well on your current rig. Elder scrolls should be fine but I had stuttering issues when I used my HD4850 card. Its not the best coded game. :(

oh

awfully sorry to hear that :(

^^ No harm in trying though. Download the demo first and see if it plays OK. I played at a decently high resolution so that could have been the problem.

That HD4200 IGP is seriously weak, I played Oblivion in a 7300 IGP and I had to turn down almost all the options. Witcher, don't eve think about it without a dedicated video card. It was decently playable in my 8800 GT. Sorry bro, but some games require more than others :|
