There are parties that did on X which is how I learnt about the series.But to me its a side detail.
The message this series conveys is more important. There is no colour thing there
Are young boys being misguided to the point they not only wreck their own lives but others as well. Under the guise of helping them deal with their personal affairs.

Hmm, its slow moving. My motivation was to learn more about how he was radicalised but I didn't see that here. Its quite subtle and the kid who does the acting has a bright future ahead. For instance one of the episodes is just him and a psychiatrist for 45 minutes and he holds your attention all throughout.
Its a sensitive topic because last summer three girls actually children of ages 8 were stabbed to death at a dance class in Southport.
The whole country erupted into riots over it. Don't know whether the killer was also motivated in a similar way. I mean who kills 8 year old girls? He was a minor so 16 yr old

Oh, didn't know about this. I live in India, so wasn't aware.
I see similar movies have come recently here, but mostly those are teens but not a boy.

Reacher Season 3, Episode 7 - Great build up to the finale next week and it's going to be a BOMBASTIC one I'm sure! Looking forward to watching the mayhem unfold.
Severance Season 2 Finale - Brilliant... absolutely brilliant! Ben Stiller nailed it with how deligently he handled things in the end. I honestly couldn't have asked for any better. The weird awesomeness blended with mad, riveting action... was a treat to watch. Acting from the cast was A+. Just goes to show when good actors get a strong script how great the results can be. The last 20 minutes elevated the episode to another level. Two sequences that will forever remain etched on my mind:

Plus, what great choice of music for the final episode, so befitting. I jumped when they played one of my favorite tracks of all time:

- The celebration after Mark completed the Cold Harbor File with the Band! Milchick's dance was amazing, haha! Awesome segment! Strange and uplifting at the same time. Fantastic direction.
- The final sequence of Mark and Helly running through the corridors as the "Windmills of your Mind" played... so freeing! One does feel heartbroken at the same time for Gemma... matters of the heart are so complicated.

The Residence : 6/10
One of the less shitty stuff Netflix has dished out. Funny, quirky in parts and enormously stretched at times, it is a wannabe Knives Out set in White House no less. Could do with a lot more editing. Worth a one time dekko.

Adolescence: 7/10.
I don't get the hype. Perhaps, have not come across such incidents and can't relate, maybe?
First two episodes were full procedural and it was too sleepy. 3rd one is fine, 4th is what I was impressed with.
The whole 4th episode where the pain the family has to suffer, felt very sad, some of my frnds had tears watching it continuously.
The psychologist talking to the kid scene is good as well, top acting both of them.
How the kids behave in school (rudeness, mockery, anger etc.) is also very well shown, I've seen such kids for real.
Overall, okayish show.

I do think 'redpill' stuff is seeping into India as well, at least the metros. I remember conversing with an old schoolmate of mine, and he mentioned how Andrew Tate (who seems to have credible evidence against him for sick stuff) was right about 'some things' like how women are making loads of money of men 'simping' for them, and how 'men' are becoming more 'beta'. I mean, porn has always been consumed throughout history, and platforms like OnlyFans simply are the latest medium. If it puts money in the hands of creators directly, who cares. What does 'simping' and being 'beta' have to do with it, I don't really understand. But what I do find concerning is how vulnerable young men/boys can be to this sort of ideology, in an era where social media feeds you all sorts of expectations of what you should be and what you 'deserve'.
I haven't seen the show yet, but I wonder how far our society is from possible incidents like this.

That's the thing. They are right about some things but what is advocated isn't always and it can take a good deal of maturity to see through it.
This is where the toxic masculinity comes in. Taking being masculine to an extreme where not only the guy but also people around get harmed.
I don't know what more men becoming beta means. How do you tell whether it's more today compared to two decades ago say.
Anyone who has endured a breakup is vulnerable to such content. In some ways its helpful but not in others.
There's money to be made here so all sorts of advice is available. Not all of it good.
