And no one objected to whitewashing here ig..It's a true story but the real perpetrator was black. Netflix decided to cast him as a white person for the usual race relations reasons.

There are parties that did on X which is how I learnt about the series. But to me its a side detail. And no one objected to whitewashing here ig..
Seen this as well but I would have preferred a deeper examination of the issue. It's only hinted at and assumes the viewer is already acquainted with the subject which in itself is controversial.
This is a story of a teenager who was radicalised by the so called 'red pill' brigade to the point he murders a girl in his school. Because she rejected his advances in a rude manner.
In my previous post I spoke about the lack of guidance to young people about relationships. Well, the 'red pill' movement seeks to address just that but the advice they give isn't always suitable and needs adult supervision. Hell, I'd say even as an adult care is needed.
Concepts like 80-20 rule. Means 80% of the women chase 20% of the men. The good looking guys. Meaning the remaining 80% of guys get little to no action and will become 'incels' short for involuntarily celibate. Unless they wise up and become more street smart.
Andrew Tate gets a mention here as a leading voice in the red pill movement. He's controversial in his views and is labeled by the liberal media as a misogynist.
Well, if young boys are being exposed to stuff like this without parental guidance they could take matters into their own hands with catastrophic results. Since parents can no longer control what their kids see on their phones.
I'd imagine this becoming an issue when we start seeing Indian influencers pushing these ideas in local languages.
If they aren't already.... I don't know. You tell me if an Indian equivalent exists. Otherwise most of these videos are on Tiktok which we don't get and YT doesn't allow this content to the same extent.

The message this series conveys is more important. There is no colour thing there
Are young boys being misguided to the point they not only wreck their own luves but others as well. Under the guise of helping them deal with their personal affairs.
Hmm, its slow moving. My motivation was to learn more about how he was radicalised but I didn't see that here. Its quite subtle and the kid who does the acting has a bright future ahead. For instance one of the episodes is just him and a psychiatrist for 45 minutes and he holds your attention all throughout. If you've written this much about a movie, then definitely worth watching I guess. Will see.
Oh, didn't know about this. I live in India, so wasn't aware.Hmm, its slow moving. My motivation was to learn more about how he was radicalised but I didn't see that here.
Its a sensitive topic because last summer three girls actually children of ages 8 were stabbed to death at a dance class in Southport.
The whole country erupted into riots over it. Don't know whether the killer was also motivated in a similar way. I mean who kills 8 year old girls? He was a minor so 16 yr old
He's 13Oh, didn't know about this. I live in India, so wasn't aware.
I see similar movies have come recently here, but mostly those are teens but not a boy.
Have you watched flash ?I have watched
Prison Break
Dexter
24
Lost
Heroes
and bit of Numb3rs
Can someone suggest something good.
I am thinking "House". But not sure.
“It’s about parents that didn’t see him, a school system that let him down and the ideas that he consumed. This is an ordinary family and this is an ordinary world and it’s really worrying what’s possible right now.”
I do think 'redpill' stuff is seeping into India as well, at least the metros. I remember conversing with an old schoolmate of mine, and he mentioned how Andrew Tate (who seems to have credible evidence against him for sick stuff) was right about 'some things' like how women are making loads of money of men 'simping' for them, and how 'men' are becoming more 'beta'. I mean, porn has always been consumed throughout history, and platforms like OnlyFans simply are the latest medium. If it puts money in the hands of creators directly, who cares. What does 'simping' and being 'beta' have to do with it, I don't really understand. But what I do find concerning is how vulnerable young men/boys can be to this sort of ideology, in an era where social media feeds you all sorts of expectations of what you should be and what you 'deserve'.Seen this as well but I would have preferred a deeper examination of the issue. It's only hinted at and assumes the viewer is already acquainted with the subject which in itself is controversial.

PS
Interesting aside about coloured heart emojis as explained by an embarrassed kid to his not so social media clued up cop dad
Red heart - love
Purple heart - horny
Yellow heart - interested
Pink heart - interested but not for sex
Orange heart - you're going to be fine
The other part of the story is the messaging going on on insta between various characters and the responses which the adult cops don't understand because of the emoji codes and their meanings. Where cyber bullying happens and who is instigating and who is the victim
Yes it is. Women or even girls ending up in a bad way because they rejected someone? Is the Adolescence relevant to India ?
This is not new anywhere but it's been the same modus operandi in United AP since 2004.Yes it is. Women or even girls ending up in a bad way because they rejected someone?
We have many such instances here.

Yeah this series hit a nerve here given the excitement and gushing reviews
It's available on tiktok which we don't get. YT doesn't allow this kind of content readily. It used to but not any more.I do think 'redpill' stuff is seeping into India as well, at least the metros.
That's the thing. They are right about some things but what is advocated isn't always and it can take a good deal of maturity to see through it.I remember conversing with an old schoolmate of mine, and he mentioned how Andrew Tate (who seems to have credible evidence against him for sick stuff) was right about 'some things' like how women are making loads of money of men 'simping' for them, and how 'men' are becoming more 'beta'.
Anyone who has endured a breakup is vulnerable to such content. In some ways its helpful but not in others. But what I do find concerning is how vulnerable young men/boys can be to this sort of ideology, in an era where social media feeds you all sorts of expectations of what you should be and what you 'deserve'.
