Budget 31-40k Entry level CPU Mobo GPU combo for video editing rig

I currently have Windows 10 desktop with following config
  • Intel Core i5 7600 @ 3.50GHz
  • Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H270N-WIFI-CF (U3E1)
  • 931GB Crucial CT1000P1SSD8 NVME M.2
  • 32GB RAM @ 1065MHz
Looking to upgrade to Windows 11 and also bump speed for basic video editing and occasional gaming. PC generally remains on for 8-10 hours normally (sometimes ON for days at stretch), so less idle power consumption preferred.

Looking to upgrade:
  • Windows 11 compatible CPU and Mobo
    • OK with DDR 4 or 5 RAM
    • Prefer Intel
  • Entry level GPU
  • Matching small modular SMPS
Would like to keep current mini-itx case - coolermaster elite 110.

Please help suggest.

Budget?

If its 40k, it will get you a decent CPU, mobo & RAM, not a dGPU.

DDR4 RAM is enough for most productivity tasks, DDR5 won't provide any noticeable bump.

Considering you will be keeping Elite 110 - I will suggest going for 10th gen processor with H470M-HDV (available on Electrobot for approx 5.7k) and DDR4 RAM. Only downside is if you take F/KF processors then only Single Slot GPU will fit in.

You can compensate for the missing onboard NVME slot with PCIE x1 slot - You could find PCIE 1x NVME adapters for 1k or less on Amazon.

10th Gen will be decent enough for Win 11.

You also have 12th Gen i3/i5 with ASRock B660M ITX (it is listed on PCStudio for 12k at the moment), i3 12100 + Asrock ITX board combo will come close to 22kish and rest can be added for the DDR4. Later you can swap with 13th Gen as B660 will also support.

AM4 ITX won't makes sense considering the age.
