First, Thank you for your interest in HP products and your interest in Envy. It is indeed heart warming to see such interest from your end.

Second, my personal apologies for the fact that you have written to HP over the last few months, and have not got any response. I am not too sure where the emails got missed, however, we really appreciate your continued interest.

Envy will be available in India from the month of August. I am sure you will find using Envy a fulfilling experience. We will be contacting you when Envy is ready for launch and hopefully will have you as one of our first customers in India.

Please feel free to write into me in case of any other clarifications.

This was the response from HP over Envy availability in India

Thanks a lot for sharing this man! When I contacted them, they denied giving any info and instead mailed me the product details of Compaq CQ41!

The Envy range is getting launched as we speak. Allow me to revert back to u by tomorrow with details - once I get back to my laptop.
Which city do u need it in sir?
Thanks
Lets see if its lauched with the radiance screen which is a $300 upgrade on the base config of $999 otherwise i am buying the TimeLineX

Got a quote of Rs. 67000 for HP Envy 14 1015tx with Radiance Screen, i5 450, ati 5650, 4gb Ram. Too expensive in my opinion, Acer timelineX 4820tg is a better option.

@gaurav8 - plz mention where did u get the quotes from ?

i dont think its expensive when compared to MBP 15 and other options available at this price . The base config is available for $999 and the i5-450+Radiance+500gb US price is $1400 ( ~ 66k) so the indian pricing is right

Eurotech, Nehru Place. The laptop will be available by next week, probably by 15th or 16th of Sept.

i'd rather have a dell studio xps 16 anyday for that price. hp really needs to get their act together when it comes to service.

What's the actual price for the base model?
At worst, 55k for this is still bearable given its a 'Premium' product and has 'Mainstream' DV6 3000 series competing in the price range.

I dont think HP will sell the Envy series in the range of 50-60k as this will kill their Pavillion DV series.
