Not sure about this exact model... but I had worked on older version (MS Natural Keyboard) a long, very long time ago (I think it was back in 1999) and it was THE Pleasure to type on.

Unfortunately, that time I was working as 3D animator and using shortcuts in 3D max and Photoshop on this KB was PITA due to split nature, and I'm literally a keyboard junkie when it comes to app shortcuts. Long story short... if you're writer / my-life-depends-on-keyboard-typing types then it's very comfortable to work with. I'm sure this model carries the legacy of older one, obviously with updates keys, MM controls etc. :)

I've used one of the ancient versions of the MS Natural KB. Have to agree that this has one offers a degree of comfort compared to the normal ones. That one'd a plastic palm rest back then. I suppose its kinda rubber in this one.

One word of caution. Its ought to be very expensive. :P

@iGo: Well, I guess I am the 'my life depends on coding' types so it will be good for me ;) Need those hands in good condition. Might need 2, one for home n one for office too :P Else will just carry it along, depend on how heavy it is tho :P

Lets see then. Will check out some reviews n pick it up.

@gannu: Check out the ebay link. ~3.5k after discount etc I guess. My hands are important to me man :P If I can spend 10k on a GPU, I can save up n spend this much for my hands, right? That goes for all of us I guess. Health over wealth, in this case at least. ;)

@gannu: :O Thanks man :D you just saved me a bundle. Let me check with him.

@BacktoExistence: Will check out reviews for that too man :) Dont see it available online though. Lemme check out local pricing as well.

@sathyanaidu: The curve 2000 is around 1k. This is much better than that I believe.

Have you tried the Wave ?

Newegg.com - wave, Logitech Inc..

I got that for my brother, and is just as amazing as compared to the competition.

checked it out, the natural 4000 is much better than the wave with a proper curve n split I guess.

Also: looking at mice too:

1. Natural® Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

2. Amazon.com: Logitech Optical Marble Mouse (USB/PS2): Electronics

3. Amazon.com: Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman (USB/PS/2): Electronics

Maybe next month : these seem good too, which 1 is the question.

Once you use it, there's no going back :P. Be warned for the first week or two you'll absolutely hate it. But after that it becomes second nature.

You mean better than the MS ergo that you were looking at ?

NO. other way around. The split on the MS seems much more ergonomic :D as per reviews too.

@chaos: thanks. wat about mice?

get a Razer Deathadder or Logitech MX518 if you are right handed guy with big hands :)

Already have one mx518. Ambidextrous with small hands. So its not that good for me :P Will use it while gaming and the new mouse for normal use probably.

@fractal and everyone: Does this mean its NOT useful for ppl who may not be touch typists? I usually need to look down while I type :ashamed:

I use MS Natural Ergo 4000, and is very good. But check for the pricing... I think I brought it here from hyderabad for 2.5K (approx) some 8 months back. Also keep in mind that it may not be possible to keep it in the keyboard tray of some computer tables, because of the curved design. And if you are not used to the split board design, it may take some time to get used to it.

Cheers
