Essential Background Processes

Right now my system specs are rather ... conservative. So want to go every last inch to make my gaming experience worthwhile. Can anyone set out a list of minimum necessary background processes for windows to do its job while playing games. Please assume a typical WinXP configuration.

Take a look at this file .. I use a similar settings with a bit more customization .. and make sure u create a restore point before u mess things up , in case ..
