stolen

ol traditional song we used to sing at school when we were kids

I dislike it whenever someone refers to the lame copy as a brilliant song. :(

+1 QSQT, RDB, Sharaabi, Aandhi, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar

^^hehe yes, my sister was in St. Xaviers school here in Delhi, she used to sing the Brothers Four version while my parents thought she was making it up...and in fact, they came out with a remix. My sis used to sing a few lines from the original, and my parents a few from the hindi one. Was pretty cool. :p

I remember some hack music director saying in an interview that when he copies songs it is so as to let people who wouldn't otherwise hear a foreign song exposed to the beautiful music.

One such good "inspired" version is Yuhi Kat Jayega Safar (Lovely Lady of Arcadia).

^And the worst one should be this :

I used to love that song when I was a kid. My Dad used to have a tape or something of it. :)

Guys..if talking about copy-cats. No one can beat Sir Anu Malik. "this album is inpsired". He copied Sweet Child in Time (Deep Purple) ...gosh. Of course he could not render the immortal end solo by guitar god R.Blackmore, so ended the song. You can hear "Aisa Zakhm Diya Hai - Akele Hum Akele Tum"

Almost all A R Rehman movies I may have missed, so many yashraj films, have good music.
Also i have not mentioned old fantastic musicals as those are considered immortal. :D

The song "Kabhie kabhie tere dil mein" from Kabhie Kabhie and "Sandeshe aate hein" from Border are really pleasant to hear. :)

Damn I don't have Dev-D FLACs. I think I'll have to get an audio C and rip it myself. :\
