Finally, EVGA enters the PSU business and launches the Classified SR-2 1200W.

Basically, it is a rebranded Antec TPQ 1200W unit (TPQ clearly visible in the pic on the EVGA site itself! :P) with few enhancements, which implies the OEM is Enhance. :)

Not the usual TPQ-1200; it's the Antec TPQ-1200 OC Edition most probably. :)
EVGA and Antec had been working together for sometime now afaik, officially or not i am not sure- but seems like now it's official. :P

That is 15 PEG connectors. Why so many..?
To power the graphics cards which require so many of those. :P

For instance, the Asus Ares has 2 x 8pin PEG and 1 x 6 pin PEG.

Yes, correct. But will it be able to supply enough juice to so many theoretical cards. Say we plug in 3x Asus Ares which would use 6x 8 PIN PEG, and 3x 6 PIN PEG...? What I am trying to say, 15 PEG connectors are way too much, it cannot supply enough power -- even if one manages to get the boards with so many PCI.E docks.

Evga always has amazing combo offers. I remember GPU + X58 Motherboard combos, even better for multiple GPUs + motherboard. I'm sure they'd come up with some nice combos including power supplies too. They already have a reputation for top notch customer service in the US, so all this with lifetime warranty and 90 day stepup offer is pretty f'n sweet.

Now all we need is for them to do the same in India. ;~;

True that nevertheless. The number of PEG connectors seems to be in excess. If only someone has actually stressed this power supply to its limits using a properly calibrated equipment unlike a PC, we can evaluate the worth of it. I am counting on Wolf for that. :P
