Well i havent come accross any bad reviews about the 2.0 ... but anyways i will still upgrade to 2.0 and try it myself ..... the 2.0 software/Apps actually uses the Iphone Hardware capability to maximum . have u seen the "ipint" App ? if at all it gives me trouble i always have the option of downgrading it :D
I will upgrade to 2.0.1 when it comes out.....

BTW:- The Unlock for the 2.0 is out and can work on windows ... it has some bugs ... so ill wait for the proper crack to come out.

OMG! 26k ?? You could have waited a month until 3G is out in India. It will definitely be around 25k at the max but you would have got warranty as well! The only reason why I might have chosen v1 over 3G is if it was cheaper :S Beats me really!

There are a lot of performance and stability issues with 2.0. You would know if you read through hackint0sh forum :)

1 shot and i fell in love with the screen resolution clarity and contrast ! WOW what contrast !!!! it pwns any cellphone in terms of clarity + size

i use it as a total entertainment machine which is so EASY 2 use / the touch interface + Accelerometer ROX.... have loads of videos,mp3,Photos ...and hell lotta apps 2 keep it ticking :D

The body huh !!! the face of the cell phone just has 1 button !!! JUST "1"

The rates of the 3g is not out yet !!! so y sit puzzeled and wait ... instead njoi the iphone the way it is :D

I din visit Hackintosh since 3 - 4 days .... i was 2 busy with modmyifone. :P

Amaze & parking lot are my favourite :D

besides that .... u have good games like penguin mania,RAging thunder,pool,sudoku,Klores,icopter etc etc !!

and i have amazing apps such as iphysics,pianist ,drummer and loads of em :D

i din clearly get ur question but i guess this is the answer 4 u. if u see the iphone architecture it was made in the sense of only adding 1 button on its face ...... besides that there is one POWER button on the top + volume control & Silent mode button on the side .

And it does have multi touch interface which is so damm COOL !!! trust me guyz it has made my life easy !!!!

Also i would like to know whether you can download these games and apps onto your iphone or do these apps and games reside on the net and you need to go to their websites to play/use these?? Also how much do these cost??

also can one download and run apps that aren't approved by apple ??

unlike the 60 series NOKIA or any other cellphones we need to download softwares from various sites and then transfer it to our CELL

but IPHONE its so damm easy

there is an inbuilt "installer" software in the iphone UNLOCKED version (not in 2.0 yet) when u open it .... it will show u all the softwares available for the iphone all u gotta do it choose the software from there and install it .........

well but here is the catch ..... "installer" is an software that downloads the software thru net .... so u need 2 b connected to the net using WIFI or EDGE connection. datz it

ALMOST 90% of the amazing software and games are FREE in the 1.1.1 to 1.1.4 version

the bitter fact is that .... the softwares that were free on the 1.1.4 are now paid softwares on the 2.0 ........... so if u want lotta free stuff stick to 1.1.4 .....untill some genius comes out with the ahem softwares for 2.0

but i am still planin to switch to 2.0 and UNLOCK it. maybee ill do it today. but i am still confused is it a wise decision to switch to 2.0 ? :P

You need to have a jailbroken phone which allows read-write access to the filesystem. Installer has nothing to do with unlocking. And it is available on a jailbroken (read:pwnaged) 2.0 as well. It is called Cydia if I am not wrong :)

They were free because there was no model/software in place which could allow paid software. With the advent of Appstore, many third-party developers have moved from providing their application via unofficial "Installer" sources to the official Apple "AppStore".

I wouldnt do it if I was in your place. Especially with reports that 2.1 is coming soon with all the bug fixes and new features. :)

On a jailbroken phone, you have the option of getting software either via official channel (Apples AppStore) or via unofficial channels( Installer)

i used the term unlocked instead of jailbroken so that it wud be easy for smoky 2 understand !! ;)

Cydia is on JB 2.0 but it is gay bullshit !!! trust me !!! .... Installer 4.0 will come up soon & i guess it will be compatible with the 2.0 iphone

yea all those free apps are now moved up to the "App Store" and now they have 2 be paid 2 use ....... cant wait for a nice forum which will provide the AHEM version of those apps ;)

i think the minimum plan should start from 1K Monthly !!

so in 1 year they can grasp in 25K .....

how can we even think that Apple will sell the REVOLUTIONIZED hardware of the year for 13K :P lolzzzzz

lets see what the CONTRACT has 2 offer .

do not forget ....." every attractive plan has a catch in it !!! " its the same in the case of Women too :P

Thus shall the 3g have a catch too :D
