Two of my drives failed recently [500gb Seagate and 1TB WD Green] after almost 4.5 years of use and thanks to the old 5yr warrnaty got them RMAed
I already have a 1TB portable drive and now I'm looking to get a new external 2TB drive as I'm not keen on getting an internal drive which has 1year less warranty than the external ones:annoyed: I have shortlisted the Seagate Backup Plus and WD My Book since I need the power button on the drive(afaik WDElements & Seagate Expanison dont have it)
As of now I'm inclined towards getting the Seagate Backup Plus drive since I have read WD My Book comes with Green HDD inside and recently those are having pretty bad failure rates:unsure: and also its cheaper than WD My Book.
Needed a feedback on these two drives and any other suggestions would be welcome.
