alright 1st read my post carefully .

--------
I bought external casing with USB contact to my laptop for my AsuS DvD writer. I have attached it in external casing , power supply & all other things are okay. Pushing eject button -> drive is coming out & going in that also works fine .

now the real problem , I made an "Iso file " from best of Rajkapoor video files using imgburn . Output file is "Rajkapoor.iso"

I used imgburn , Alcohol 120 % & Nero but all of them failing , Nero showed message like "DMA Driver error"

while imgburn showed something else

Alcohol showing this kinda error

used to these programmes while my Asus DvD writer was in Desktop & never gave any error but it stopped burning since when I fitted it in external casing

my OS is Win Xp so driver should be no problem (I hope )
wht is weired is that I checked my previous burned DvD (data & Video) both are reading fine in this external DvD

means reading is okay but any kinda write operation is getting fail
please any sollution /suggestion ? :help:

Only I can say there must be some thing wrong with the external casing. If you get in hand try with other casing.

Another thing some time Laptop ( old days) will have High Speed USB port and normal usb port you may check that. If you have laptop and desktop you can try sending files to desktop via cross cable and let the PC burn your DVD/CD. External writers are problematic unless good brand (my experience).
