Storage Solutions External HardDrive Suggestions

Hi All

I am planning to buy an 3.5 external hard disk. I checked out on ebay and found a pretty decent deal on Maxtor 500 gb. Now I want to know how reliable are these? anyone has any experience with these drives? Its a desktop drive and needs external power source too. It carries a 3 year warranty.

Those are pretty ok. What counts in an external is teh warranty. Seagate drives have 5 yrs warranty but are also more expensive. See which one comes in your budget and get it

I have a Maxtor Portable Drive(2.5") and it works fine , warranty is decent too
