Fable 3 - Discussion Thread

Reports incoming of this game being an unoptimized lag fest too. This is insane. 2 games back-2-back being poorly optimized for the PC. :(
 
IGN rates the 360 version 8.5 and the PC version 6 is it really that unoptimized?

sad day for PC gamers, i was excited that Fable is coming to PC but now......
 
Dang I was waiting so long for the PC version and it turns out to be crap. :(

Guess Ill have to see if my Xbox is still working and get the Xbox version only.
 
Played the game for sometime. The colours on the PC version are ridiculously dull. Frame rate is screwed up. I think there's a 30fps lock if V-Sync in enabled. The game seemed interesting though. Hope they release a patch to fix the performance issues.
 
im playing section 8 prejudice right now, liking it a lot, so is fable 3 a go? I mean with Witcher 2 just released, is fable 3 a go or witcher 2(I wont play 2 rpgs back to back, i'll get bored to hell)

Yeah, got it 4 years back. :P

Barely play it now adays with the high prices of Xbox titles. :(

But Fable 2 was a game I have replayed 4 times already and loved it all 4 times. So I have lots of hope for Fable 3.

Just that I haven't used it for over a year so I have no idea if the Xbox still works or not !
 
^^ hey man, you may be able to get a full replacement with a new X360 250GB Slim, see if you can play your discs after updating to newest Firmware. If the discs dont play, MS will replace your old X360. Thats an amazing deal.
 
I'm definitely picking this up once I'm done with L.A Noire. Hope they get some title update out by then.
 
if you read ign's review then it seems both the versions have different atmosphere,story,gameplay settings which is confusing.

Anyways the dog with the protagonist is a nice thing.:D
 
Got 60fps constantly now. :D

Applied all the tweaks mentioned on the Internet for disabling motion blur and turned down a few settings. The game looks the same even with those settings at High. :P

Enabling in-game V-Sync caps the frame rates to 30fps, I disabled it and got 60fps but the tearing was unbearable. D3DOverrider came to the rescue. Now everything is silk smooth.

I was going to get this for thr story, which, all reviews pointed out, is disappointing. All games ain't about graphics to me.
 
Thats why i have mentioned those things.atleast the porting should have been proper.Anyways wont comment about the story as i am only in the first few levels.But till now it seems ok.
