Facebook Messenger 1.8 adds quick conversation switch to iOS and Android



Facebook messenger for iOS and Android has been updated to the 1.8 version and it brings new features such as in app notifications to switch between multiple conversations and also an option to share larger images, option to see who is online and who is not, and other new features. The previous update (1.7) released back in May, 2012.

What's New in Version 1.8

Now with more great ways to stay in touch on the go:

• Quickly switch between multiple conversations with in-app notifications
• Include friends of friends in conversations
• Swipe to delete individual messages from conversations
• See who's available when you start a new conversation
• Share bigger photos, tap for full screen and pinch to zoom

More improvements:

• Faster app loading, navigating and sending
• More-reliable push notifications

The update also brings in bug fixes. The update can be downloaded from the Google play store for Android and the Apple iTunes Store for iOS devices.
