44k isn't a bad price. The goin rate for the officially unlocked 3GS is about 59K in Dubai.

no offence to the op, but anything above 30k for ANY PHONE with the abilities of an iPhone is OTT. this is my opinion. as for the iphone selling for 59k in Dubai, i think its sacrilege. 60k can get you a lot of stuff

PS: i have bought the iphone 3g for 36k the day it was released officially in India and sold it for 30k in a month. REASON: with that firmware (2.0.2), the phone couldnt do a lot of stuff that phones 1/10th it's price did. This is not an iPhone flaming post, mind you. I loved the phone and absolutely would sell everything I had to get the new 3GS, but yes, at 44k, NO NO.

I know the price is steep guys but its officially unlocked and I cannot shift to Airtel/Vodafone ATM because I can't afford to change my number.

I've asked my friend to negotiate with the guy, this was just for the benefit for other interested members.
