Retailnet is one of the official sellers in FK. So I have suspicions on how far up this rot goes. At least they have open box for these items. Amazon does not have it, I believe.I think we need a separate thread to track scammy sellers on Flipkart/Amazon. This does not look like the platform's fault but the seller trying to get away.
I have never had an issue with Amazon. This time we ordered something from an uncertain seller. At least they have open box for these items. Amazon does not have it, I believe.
I wonder what the guy would have done if there was an issue. Did he tell you what they are instructed to do in such a case ?I have never had an issue with Amazon. This time we ordered something from an uncertain seller.
So after giving otp, we unboxed in front of him on camera, just in case. He was ok with it, turned out fine too.
This seems like a good enough proof.
No idea, but again i have never had amazon cs reject replacement if there is an issue. My account is old, that probably helps.I wonder what the guy would have done if there was an issue. Did he tell you what they are instructed to do in such a case ?
At least FK has an explicit open box.
Looks like an entire batch of fake CPUs in circulation. Damn !Update: Got replacement today, that also appeared fake to me. This CPU had the plane heat spreader too and afaik, the 9800x3d has the heat spreader with square wave pattern like edges. This time, the delivery person told me that it is Not an open box delivery. But after looking at the heat spreader, i told him to cancel the order. I dont know how come retailnet got screwed with fake CPUs.

Fk's open box delivery is a double edged sword imo. Say a tech illiterate person orders the CPU and some motherboard, the motherboard doesn't arrive yet and the person have no idea what the CPU is supposed to look like. Then he would have no reason to reject the package. If I am not wrong, the buyer cannot complain later once he accepted the open box delivery item.At least FK has an explicit open box.
They don't have one for computer components like CPU. It has been some time now but they mark them as non returnable. So without open box you are FKD and have to be at the mercy of the customer care. Like someone mentioned earlier if you have an account with good standing with them then they may consider but they are not really bound to do anything.Amazon's 10 or so day return policy is the best.
Wait, I did not know that. Must be why they just refunded me the ssd and case I ordered on amazon when I had problems with them instead of taking them back. They don't have one for computer components like CPU.
