I'm stuck in the very first mission itself :( When after the initial training that chic asked me to get two herbs for cooking something. I went to the school as shown in the map but there is nothing there. I looked everywhere and couldn't found that

near the rotten tree look down coupla herbs there

Got my 1st follower at the old fort in Camp McCarren. He's a science guy forgot his name :P game me the quick healing perk. :D

Am now 58+ hours in the game, Boone has been the best follower till now. Give him a sniper or anti-material rifle, light machine gun and see the magic.

Got rex as companion and fixed him up with one of old lady gibson's dog's brains. Now he's got higher attack damage. :D almost Reached lvl 12 .

i'm Level 16 and i'm ignoring The Strip as long as i can :), just upgraded ED-E with a new armor

I also didn't go to the strip although i got the counterfeit passport as a favor from the King.

I want to know how many companions can i keep at a time? If i let them go can i get them again from the same place? Where do i find Veronica and E-DE ?

Boone is the best companion imo. (
You can find him in Novac. He won't follow you unless you complete his quest
)

BTW I am on my third playthrough. I helped NCR on my previous playthough.

ED-E is at Primm.

Vermonica (at 188 trading post or something like that)

I know but it is nowhere to be found :( I think i might have taken it, as i was just grabbing everything form everywhere :p. But why does it still shows the marker??

iam level 17 got cass and rex so far so good Oh btw can someone tell me how is should approach the heartache by the numbers quest?

In Primm u can repair ED-E (at John Nash's home), also while traveling towards the strip from Boulder city u'l find 188 trading post, there i found Veronica

Am already level 30 (max level), Rex (with Gibson's attack damage brain) and the finder perk (items that can be collectible are displayed green when zoomed in ) he has are great, couple that with Boone Spotter Perk (in gun sight zoomed, all enemies appear red). It's fantastic. I like having chicks Cass and Veronica around, but my play style prefers one Melee = Rex the dog and one good with guns = Boone with sniper. I've actually taken away sniper and anti-material rifle from Boone. He's too good a shot. I just didn't get to hit enemies....lol. I probably should change his tactics to "attack only when I attack" mode.

i'm level 23 right now played for 43 hours, just switched ED-E for REX, one thing i did not like abt this Fallout is that u get Perks every 2 Levels and this time there are so many of them :(

u can use codes form F3 to downgrade your level and level up again and get as many perks you want.

which MOD's are u guys using ??

i'm using

Black Mountain Radio Everywhere

Centered 3rd Person Camera

Free Play after Main Quest

i was also using the Fellout mod by which the surroundings during the day look much more beautiful, but sadly at Night u can hardly see anything
 
Perk Every Level Mod

@ nikolain Dont bother with any downgrade and stuff (though that is a way). U can either add perks through console or u can just download this incredible mod...which feels more legit - Perk Every Level. I highly recommend it. I actually started to use it at level 20 or so.

1. U won't have anything screwed up

2. The game may seem easier due to the better perks....that is why I play at Very Hard level now as shooting and killing creatures are far too easy for my uber guy! U do only 50% damage VS them doing 200% damage on you! I hope I got the ratios right. And no this is not the Hardcore mode which is a different ballgame altogether.

3. You will not be able to use all Perks as you will have character limitations of SPECIAL skills. Though you will get more perks than before. U can use the console to give yourself more SPECIAL SKILLS for more perks if you like!

Since now I'm already in 60+ game and AM certianly never going to fire it up for a different playthru exp (don't have THAT kind of time), I cheated thru the console to give me more SKILLS, especially the Barter and Speech skills as you get many conversations options due to that. And also Medicine and Science as many conversations and outcomes can change due to higher skills there. Interesting to see but definitely not worth a second playthru just to see a different outcome..in my opinion. Some guys love trying diff playthrus!
