Farmer Jones walked into town and bought an anvil, two chickens, a bucket
and a goose. "Now how am I going to carry all this home." he wondered. The
livestock dealer said "Put the anvil in the bucket, carry the bucket in one
hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in the other hand."
"Thanks." said the farmer and off he went.
While walking he met up with an old lady who asked him if he knew how to get
to Mockingbird Lane.
"Why, I live on Mockingbird Lane." he said, "let's take this short cut
through the alley and I will show you the way."
"I am a lonely widow who doesn't have a man to protect me." the lady
responds "how will I know that once we are in the alley you won't push me
against the wall, hoist up my skirt, and have your way with me?"
The farmer said "Holy Smokes lady! I'm carrying an anvil, bucket, two
chickens and a goose. How in the world am I going to be able to push you up
against the wall and do that?"
The lady says "Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket and put the
anvil on top. I'll hold the chickens."
