^ You are getting only 10 MBps as you are using a fast-ethernet switch. Just by getting the TPLink gigabit switch your transfer rates will improve.

What issues are you facing with your current modem other than the LAN transfer speeds? If your only issue is with the local transfer speeds, why do you want to change the modem/router? You could simply add a gigabit switch and connect all local devices and the router/modem to this switch.
 
no problem then.cat6 cables have advantage of better noise & crosstalk management.btw what was the price & from where you ordered.
 
ok!i assumed you are presently in India & getting hardware from USA.in terms of indian rupees cat6 cables are much more costlier than cat5e cables.
