ZOTAC launched its first nForce 630i-based mini ITX platform just a matter of months ago in the form of its nForce 630i ITX, and has now announced an upgraded model with the key missing ingredient; support for Wi-Fi.

The new and imaginatively-titled nForce 630i ITX Wi-Fi, pictured below, takes the same Core 2-supporting, GeForce 7100-based platform and adds support for wireless 802.11b/g connectivity into its minuscule 170mm x 170mm dimension.

With a 1,333MHz FSB and support for DDR2-800, it's a fairly potent little board. Throw on an el-cheapo Core 2 Duo processor, and you'd get a small-but-capable HTPC solution with GeForce 7-based graphics that support DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.

The added Wi-Fi is useful, but the board still has one little downside - the ageing on-board graphics won't provide any hardware-level support for H.264 and VC-1 decoding, so you'll have to rely on your CPU to do most of the media-orientated legwork.

Not a bad little board for a little nettop-type box, though.

Official Press Release

For AM2+

ZOTAC GeForce 8200-ITX WiFi.

General details

* New NVIDIA GeForce 8200-ITX WiFi platform

* NVIDIA GeForce 8200 mGPU

* 16 stream processors

* Microsoft DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1 compatible

* NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX ready

* NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology

* DVI with HDCP (w/Audio) and VGA outputs

* HDMI output with dongle (w/Audio)

* Integrated 802.11b/g WiFi

* AMD Phenom, Athlon and Sempron – Socket AM2+ support

* HyperTransport 3.0 compatible

* 2 DDR2 DIMM slots

* DDR2-800/1066 compatible

* Up to 8GB of DDR2 memory

* ZOTAC Extended Warranty (visit ZOTAC World Regions for details)

The GeForce 8200-ITX WiFi, pictured below, rolls NVIDIA's GeForce 8200 chipset into a tiny 170mm x 170mm frame. Featuring an integrated GeForce 8200 GPU - with a core clock speed of 500MHz, 16 stream processors and NVIDIA PureVideo HD - the board will make light work of any high-def material, and it'll upscale your standard-def DVDs, too.

Should you want to do more than just media playback, it's armed with support for DirectX 10, as well as NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX.

The board supports any AMD AM2+ processor, and the two DDR2 slots allow for up to 8GB of 1,066MHz memory. There's one PCIe x1 slot that'll come in handy for your TV tuner of choice, and there's a choice of video outputs; HDCP-compliant DVI, as well as VGA and HDMI.

Network connectivity comes in the form of Gigabit Ethernet or 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and there's six USB ports for all your peripherals.

There's no mention of price or retail availability just yet, but if the price is right, the addition of some cheap DDR2 and a low-cost Phenom CPU could make this the ideal platform for a tiny HTPC.

Pricing please? :)

waitin for registered dealers to shed light on availability n price :)

bt xpecting 630 itx to be priced at around 4-5-5k when launched..

1-1.5k extra for the latter.

5k for a Mini-ITX board with those specs is amazing! Wish these were available when I was building my HTPC/Server, would've made the setup half the size!

Which one is best and can anyone suggest how much power will it utilize like TDP and etc stuff ?

If i order it from abroad will it be serviced here ?

prices for 630i-value ITX(non wifi) will be around 4k.

8200 ITX wifi will be around 6k.

prices excluding VAT

edit: both to be released by this month end.

Can anybody compare this with atom

I mean

Zotac 630i mini ITX

Intel D945GCLF2 Mobo with Atom 330

Matter of

1) Power consumption (watt)

2) Features

3) Low budget Good processor for 630i

4) Tv-out for both

5) Gfx card for both

6) Heat & Noise

Guys aren't we forgetting something, only one PCI slot means place for either TV tuner or the sound card, m sure many of us won't like to do without any of the two..
