Linux Fedora 12 is Mute!

Hey,
I installed Fedora 12 KDE x84_86 on my laptop. I've installed Fedora 11 and it worked fine previously. But now there's no sound on my system.. :(

try opening the kmix icon (the speaker icon) in your kde system tray and unmute (uncheck all mute boxes) and raise the various volume level sliders to high and save/exit (and do a reboot to confirm its saved) then check again?

its more likely a kde issue than anything else (i think i faced same thing)... just need to set alsa volumes (with above method) and save it in alsa config... :)
