Hi guys,
I jus installed FC 4.I have a broadband connection. The ethernet card was detected by the OS,and I ve configured my ip address through the network configuration wizard. But when I try and access websites through the browser I get a message saying site not found.I tried pinging to the dns server from the terminal and i got a reply. What do I do???Have I missed anything???

Have you set up your DNS server properly? Open the file /etc/resolv.conf in any text editor, and verify that the IP address of your DNS server(s) is correctly set, it should look something like this -

nameserver 222.333.444.555

where the numbers correspond to the IP address.

If it still doesnt work, type "ifconfig" in a terminal and post the ouptut here.

Well, change it in the file itself. You will have to be logged in as root user to be able to write to the file.
