Fedup of crappy Ipod Nano - suggestions for replacement needed

Hi guys,

I am fed up of the very ordinary sounding crappy Ipod Nano 8gb (presently using SoundMagic PL21). I need a nice replacement for it.

Criteria

1. Good sound

2. Larger capacity :bleh:

3. Price . Upto 10K.

4. FM.

How are the larger Ipods? The Classic for example?

All suggestions are welcome.

How much does it cost? Just wanted to add that my Xperia phone sounds wayyy better than my Ipod Nano.

It sounds a lot better than it looks. :) And it looks outright sexy. Plus the AMOLED display means you can have your favorite girl as wallpaper in precisely the right colors. ;) The bundled earphones are better than the ones bundled with the iPods. No more stupid iTunes to sync music. Just drag and drop. The bundled Jet Audio suite is capable of converting videos as well and is very user friendly.

Sure it looks nano but sounds way far better than any player in the market.I myself have a D2+, have used a S9 .Fuze also support microsd SD card :tongue:.

I got 8Gb fuze for 5K off ebay India .If you looks sorry cant suggest any if you want sound then it has to be Fuze
 
If you want a big player with good video capabilities as well as sound then get a Cowon J3 , if only music is your priority with the best sound quality get the Fuze. Sound Quality wise both the Cowon and Sansa are pretty good .Some find the Fuze to be better while some like the Cowon more due to added enhancements .;).

OP try getting any player which can be rockboxed.Cowon D2+ can be done so is the Fuze

Faheem Rockbox utility supports Fuze V2 officially here afterwards for updates we don't have to do them manually just use the utility it updates the rockbox as its updated by users.My D2+ is beign resurrected it should be back next week.I will try posting a comparative guide ;)

^ That sounds good and yeah Rockbox'ing your player adds a lot of other sound enhancement settings ,better Equalizer,themes, games etc. Incase you get the Fuze do get a good cover or invisbile shield for it . Its glossy body and screen are prone to scratches. Mine is real badly scratched :(
 
Thats the down side of Fuze glossy faceplate :cursing:.I got a shield on day one.Faheem u need :bangin: badly.Learn to how to keep gadgets safe :P.

How is the Sansa Clip/Clip+ vis-a-vis Cowon D2/D2+
 
Sflo2 seems to be good.

Q - Does any of the Cowon J3 of D2 come with line out? Which is a good small amp to pair with the Cowons?

I am leaning towards the Cowon D2+ right now as it is relatively cheaper compared to the newer J3. Sound quality should be same?

NO suggestions on the Sansa Clip+ ?

audio experience will be almost same but the video Xperience will be bad compared to J3..

video -> J3 is better :)
looks -> J3 wins again(slim and sexy) :ohyeah:\
screen -> J3 screen is lot better then D2 (amoled FTW).:P

cowon j3 retails for around 12.5k for 8 gb

Thanks guys. Seems like Cowon D2+ will be for me. Thinking of buying 4gb version and have a larger SD card. I will hardly use the Video functionality (so far watched only 3 video clips on my Ipod Nano).

Anyone tried out the Sansa Clip+ . How does the audio quality compare to the Cowon D2+ ?
 
^^ Its equally good, and much cheaper I hear. Cowon though will able to drive a wider range of IEM's without amps...
