Feedback on GATI

I posted this in the Courier feeback thread but no rsponse as yet..Posting as a new thread as this is kinda urgent:
Any feedback on GATI guys?...
I need to ship a laptop to Mohit (TE), and am not sure how to send it across...
GATI seems to be the only courier that will accept it without hassles..But we also do not want to be in a situation where the package reaches him damaged, or even worse, with something else inside the package ...

ANy other options that you guys can think of?
 
Since it's an expensive/delicate item, I'd go with Bluedart or DHL - not sure how their prices stack up to GATI, but they're very reliable.

I second that, Use Bluedart. Did you enquire them about the shipping charge??
 
don't give it to Gati ..... they will trash it for sure .....

when i left my college i had couriered my comp with gati ...... i mean everthing else other than Cabby .....

i kept my speaker in a aluminum box with some cloths to give it protection ...... the box was pretty good ..... i don't know what did they loaded on it ...... but box got bend from top and the sub got crushed :( :( :cry: :cry:

and my moniter box was pretty bad shape to but nothing happned inside ...... two cartoon box with books inside got all messed up with too much load on top :(
 
I always use First Flight & they ship everything fast & in one piece have used it for a 9k Processor, 10k Ram & 20k Graphics Card

Indmall.com had sent me my 10kgs heavy Antec TX1088AMG Cabinet via TNT & I got it in 45hrs flat from Chennai & the box did not even have a bend

I highly recommend First Flight & TNT
 
Does the laptop u plan to ship have the box packing it came with? If so, then u need not worry much. But, if u dont have the original box-packing, u better pack it properly.

GATI is decently good. but their charges are uber expensive.

If u know any dealer (computer store), talk to them and try to ship thru them. They receive/ship all items thru couriers like Surfair Logistics, AFL Wiz, at discounted prices. reliable and cheap ;)
 
I have the orginal box and packing, so packing it up properly is not an issue...

However, the GATI folks are asking me to sign a note saying i wouldn't hold em responsible for any damages :P

Hmm, let me try that..thr one big hitch i see with that is Mohit is in Raipur , Chattisgarh..and for any non personal items, entry of goods into Chattisgarh requires some stupid entry form from the Chattisgarh excise guys :(
